Dual-motor technology becomes the core of competition, with local companies breaking the international monopoly.
In a recent evaluation conducted by the China Electronics Standardization Institute, dual-motor height-adjustable tables from local companies such as Loctek and Maedster achieved internationally advanced standards in 12 indicators, including lifting speed and load-bearing stability. This marks a breakthrough for my country in core drive technology, breaking the international monopoly.
The motor system, the heart of height-adjustable tables, was long dominated by German and Japanese companies. Before 2020, the cost of imported dual motors accounted for 40% of the total product cost, and delivery cycles were as long as three months. Local companies have achieved breakthroughs through continuous research and development: Loctek's independently developed dual-motor drive system has reduced the failure rate to 0.3% and increased the lifting speed to 38mm/s, 25% faster than imported products. Maedster's vector control technology enables silent operation of the table even with a load of 125kg, with noise levels as low as 42 decibels.
Technological breakthroughs are driving product upgrades. By 2025, electric height-adjustable tables are expected to account for 65% of sales, an increase of 8 percentage points from last year. The integration of an intelligent control system and dual motors enables products with features like multi-position memory and posture monitoring, increasing the premium of its high-end product line to 35-40%. A representative from Zuogan Technology revealed that the company's 500 million yuan Series B funding will be fully invested in motor research and development and the development of a smart manufacturing base in the Yangtze River Delta.
Patent development has become a key factor in technological competition. Data from the National Intellectual Property Administration shows that 1,287 patent applications related to height adjustable tables were filed in 2023, with motor control and intelligent interaction accounting for over 60%. Eighteen patents, including AILINK's V-shaped table leg structure and Leckey's integrated heart rate monitoring technology, have been commercialized, boosting the product's overseas certification pass rate to 92%.
Industry experts point out that the localization of dual-motor technology has rapidly increased the popularity of mid-to-high-end products priced under 2,000 yuan, driving market penetration from 8% in 2020 to 28% in 2025. With the advancement of modular motor interface development, future product upgrade costs will be reduced by 50%, further stimulating demand in the lower-tier markets.
