The ASEAN market saw a CAGR of 17.3%, with height adjustable desks becoming the new favorite for office upgrades in Southeast Asia.

According to a recent report from Frost & Sullivan, the ASEAN market for height adjustable desks is leading the global emerging markets with a compound annual growth rate of 17.3%. Policy dividends and consumer upgrades in countries like Vietnam and Thailand are driving this growth. By the first half of 2025, the regional market is projected to exceed US$820 million, a 43% year-on-year increase, making it a new growth engine for the global industry.

Tariff reduction policies are unleashing demand. Vietnam will reduce import tariffs on medical aesthetic devices and office equipment from 15% to 5% starting in 2024, directly stimulating demand for height adjustable desks. Thailand has launched a "Smart Office Subsidy Program," offering businesses a 30% tax rebate on smart height adjustable equipment. Government procurement increased by 128% year-on-year in the first half of 2025. "This policy dividend has driven a 28% growth rate in the commercial market, with the financial and technology sectors becoming the primary buyers," noted the report's analysts.

The market exhibits structural characteristics. The Southeast Asian home market is dominated by budget-friendly products priced between $200 and $500, accounting for 65%. Chinese brands, leveraging their competitive price-performance ratio, hold a 72% market share. Among them, Logitech's entry-level model has topped the Lazada sales charts for six consecutive months. The commercial market is rapidly shifting towards the high-end segment, with the proportion of smart models priced over $1,000 projected to rise from 12% in 2023 to 27% in 2025. European and American brands such as Humanscale are seizing the high-end market share through partnerships with multinational corporations.

Supply chain localization is accelerating. Chinese companies are establishing assembly plants in Malaysia and Indonesia, combining imported core components with local assembly to circumvent trade barriers and reduce logistics costs. It is projected that by 2027, the proportion of locally produced height adjustable desks in Southeast Asia will increase from the current 18% to 45%, further boosting market penetration.
