Home use market share exceeds 45% for the first time, with adjustable tables becoming a new entry point for smart homes
The latest data from the Qianzhan Industry Research Institute indicates that by 2025, China's home use market share for height-adjustable desks will exceed 45% for the first time, a 5 percentage point increase from the previous year, signaling a shift from office equipment to a household necessity. This structural shift has triggered a chain reaction in the smart home industry, with height-adjustable desks becoming a core interactive platform connecting diverse scenarios.
The boom in the home use market is driven by the continued expansion of remote workers. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, the number of remote workers in China has reached 102 million and is projected to exceed 150 million by 2025. The Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development's "White Paper on Home Office Space Renovation" reveals that 38.6% of urban households plan to renovate their study rooms with smart technology, with ergonomic equipment accounting for 31% of the budget. A NetEase Yanxuan survey shows that 78.3% of consumers prefer multi-purpose height-adjustable desks suitable for work, fitness, and entertainment.
Intelligence and personalization have become core competitive advantages in the home use market. The V9 series of integrated heart rate monitoring modules launched by Xiaomi's ecosystem company, Lechuang, has achieved annual sales exceeding 500,000 units. The AILINK A7 - Yuanyi, featuring lighting linkage and cable storage, sold over 120,000 units during Singles' Day (Singles' Day) sales. Modular products have increased their market share to 38%, with demand for user-customized configurations growing by an average of 27% annually, driving profit margins 15-18 percentage points higher than traditional products.
Eco-friendly materials have become a key differentiator in the high-end market. An SGS test report shows that sales of FSC-certified bamboo fiber height-adjustable tables increased by 217% in the first half of 2023, with 58% of consumers willing to pay a 10-15% premium for eco-friendly design. Solid wood products like the A9 Red Oak, thanks to their formaldehyde-free properties, have seen a 35% annual increase in penetration in the parent-child market.
Channel transformation is accelerating market penetration. Livestreaming sales contributed 38% of new sales, with related Douyin topics exceeding 1.2 billion views. The number of offline experience stores is expected to grow by 300% annually, with data from Easyhome showing that home furnishing sales in these locations account for 42%. Industry insiders point out that with the advancement of "desktop smart central control systems," height adjustable tables will be able to connect with lighting, curtains, and other devices throughout the home, becoming a new entry point into the smart home.
